Kid Made Look Books!

I have been overjoyed the with the last few projects that I have made for my children. More so with their reaction to them, than the projects themselves!

It's amazing how children start to form their own opinions when your not looking. One day they love anything you give them to wear, the next they only want to wear clothes that suit their style.

I am determined to keep sewing clothes that they will love, and to help me do that I taught them how to pin.

I give them very little direction on their own Look Books. The most I will say is "Summer is coming.  Why don't you pin some shorts?"

Of course, I keep an eye on them to make sure they aren't veering off onto inappropriate websites. My youngest daughter also needs a little help with navigation, but she is starting to get the hang of it.

As my kids get older, they are less interested in talking with their mom about their favorite things (or anything else for that matter). I am so grateful to Pinterest for giving me one more avenue to keep that connection open, just a little bit longer.

Fab Finds Friday - Week 15

Good morning everyone!

I am so sorry that I wasn't able to post my Fab Finds last week. I was busy finishing up a pair of pants for week 3 of the Project Run and Play Sew Along.

In other news, I am actually going to be able to get some of my favorite Pinterest projects done, thanks to the Fourteen Pins by 2014 Challenge from Mama's Got It Together.

Without further adieu, here are my favorite pins from the past two weeks.

Reuse those left over plastic Easter eggs and have a tea party!

I have seen plenty of beautiful wreaths on Pinterest, but none that fit my own personal style quite as well as this one.

I can only think of about a million things to do with this shoe craft.

So there you go, a few beautiful pins to inspire me for the week. I can't wait to see everyone else's favorite pins.

Fourteen Pins Before 2014

Hello my name is Jennifer and I am a Pinterest addict. Not a day goes by where I don't pin something, but for all the pinning I do very few of the projects ever get completed. This year I plan to change that by joining the fourteen pins by 2014 challenge from Mama's got it together.

Pinterest Challenge

I am sure that I will find plenty of time to do all this between sewing my children's entire wardrobe from scratch, helping my sister with her new triplets, and possibly moving (the property I rent may be rezoned). But, just in case, I think I'll try to choose a few pins that go well with everything else that has to get done.

I haven't chosen all of my projects yet. I want to save a few for things I find later but here is what I have chosen so far.

Fab Finds Friday - Week 13

Today is week 13 of Friday Finds and my first time participating.

It's always a little bit of a struggle to find inspiration when crafting for boys, but I think this project would work out great with the right color and quote. I'm thinking "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" by Steve Jobs on a blue t'shirt.

I love this DIY photo background. Maybe I can bring a bit of spring inside for my photo's since we sure aren't getting any of it outside.

Theses little chocolate eggs happen to be my favorite candy in the world. Sadly Easter is the only time of year you can get them. You can be sure I will be finding ways to savor these sweet little treats.

All the fun of paper dolls but much more durable (and adorable).
